You can use this in a POV shot were a character is going crazy and his vision is messed up by using drugs or being hit in the head really hard. To get this effect you need to import a video clip onto the project panel. Then you need to edit the clip to your desired length in the source panel. Then you drag the video clip onto the timeline. After you need to open the folder called Video Effects under the “Effects”. Then you open the folder “Distort” and you go down to the Lens Distortion effect and drag it onto the clip you want to add the effect for on the timeline. To edit the effect you go on the Effect Controls tab in the source panel and expand the Lens Distortion folder. Then you click on any toggle animation you want and mess around with the numbers until you get your desired effect.

You can use this in a scary film to have a stronger effect of fear. To get this effect you need to import a video clip onto the project panel. Then you need to edit the clip to your desired length in the source panel. Then you drag the video clip onto the timeline. After you need to open the folder called Video Effects under the “Effects”. Then you open the folder “Stylize” and you go down to the Threshold effect and drag it onto the clip you want to add the effect for on the timeline. To edit the effect you go on the Effect Controls tab in the source panel and expand the threshold folder. Then you click on toggle animation and you add key frames to edit it however you want.
